Welcome to Fossil Creek Ranch, our family owned and operated Akaushi cattle ranch. We are located on California’s central coast near Paso Robles, where the countryside is a mix of vineyards, almond orchards, and cattle ranches.
Our mission is to raise cattle that are happy, healthy, and raised humanely. We’ve selected to raise cattle with elite genetics and exceptional marbling, fertility, and longevity. This led us to the Akaushi breed, Red Wagyu, fondly known as Japan’s national treasure. Akaushi are known for being richly marbled with fat which produces a very tender, flavorful, and the highest quality beef on the market.
If your goal is to improve the genetics and quality of your herd, we offer semen straws from exceptional lineage bulls with proven fertility.
We have beef for sale by the quarter, half, or whole steer, priced by the pound. We also sell individual cuts of meat.
